Long before fragrance became commerce, it was covenant.
Oils were sealed beneath temple stones, and resins travelled the caravans of distant empires. In those earlier ages, scent was not adornment but language. It was spoken quietly between the visible world and the unseen.
The House of Shaneela was born from the belief that this language should never be forgotten. Within its chambers, fragrance is shaped slowly and with restraint, guided not by fashion but by memory, rarity, and time.
From this quiet understanding emerged the House’s signature accord, known as The Golden Veil.

Before the first chamber of the House was conceived, before the sigil was drawn and before the Maisonnée took their solemn watch, there was the presence of the Veiled Empress. From the quiet authority of her will the House itself was summoned into being. Its halls, its symbols, its fragrances and its memory are shaped according to the unseen architecture of her design. The palace stands not merely as a dwelling of stone and light, but as an expression of her dominion; every chamber, every scroll and every breath of perfume that departs the House bears the subtle imprint of her sovereign hand.
Within the hidden atelier where she labours beyond the gaze of the world, the compositions of the House first awaken. There the fragrances are not simply blended but called forth. They are drawn from memory, myth and the deeper language of the senses that lies beneath the surface of time. From this sacred labour flow the creations that the Maisonnée guard, interpret and carry into the wider world.

Until that appointed moment arrives, the Veiled Empress remains at the silent centre of all that unfolds within these chambers, which is the origin of the palace, the architect of its mysteries, and the sovereign source from which every creation of the House ultimately proceeds.

Keeper of the Communiqué & Vizier of the Palace, guarding the House’s Star-Veiled Empress
Rashid Al-Sirr is the quiet voice of the House beyond its walls. He is also the humble guardian of the chambers of the Palace & its Empress. From within its chambers he prepares the communiqués that travel outward, messages carried only when the moment is worthy and the listener prepared. Through him, the House speaks rarely, but always with purpose.
Zafir
Messenger Falcon of the House
Zafir is the winged herald of the House, entrusted with carrying its sealed words across distant skies. When Rashid prepares a communiqué, it is Zafir who bears it beyond the veil, delivering the House’s message to those destined to receive it.
Malik Al-Nur
Keeper of the Veil
Malik Al-Nur safeguards the mystery of the House. He watches over the Golden Veil itself, ensuring that what is rare remains rare, and that the House reveals its creations only in their rightful moment.
Farid Al-Samt
Keeper of Silence
Farid Al-Samt guards the silence that surrounds the House. He reminds all within its chambers that restraint is its greatest strength, and that beauty revealed too quickly loses the power of wonder.
Samir Al-Dhakir
Archivist of Memory
Samir Al-Dhakir preserves the living memory of the House. Within his keeping are the inspirations, fragments, and quiet histories that shape its creations, ensuring that each new chapter remains connected to those that came before.
