THE CHAMBER OF SOVEREIGNTY
THE CHAMBER OF SOVEREIGNTY
A Record of Position and Category
A LUXURY OF MYTHOLOGY
Where other chambers of the House speak in mythology, this one speaks in doctrine. It exists to record, plainly and for the archive, where The House of Shaneela stands, and why that standing belongs to no category but its own.
The Ascension
Within the doctrine of the House, luxury ascends through craft, scarcity and exceptional making.

Mythic Haute-Luxury carries these standards into a further degree: an original Realm that generates the artefact, its provenance, its rituals and the conditions through which it is encountered.
The artefact is not given a mythology. It emerges from one.
The Entries of the House
The House maintains a precise vocabulary for the category it occupies, the discipline it practises and the artefacts that emerge from its Realm. The following entries record these terms and the distinct role each one holds within the doctrine of the House.
MYTHIC HAUTE-LUXURY
/ˈmɪθ.ɪk əʊt ˈlʌk.ʃə.ri/ · noun
Origin: Coined by The House of Shaneela.
- A category of luxury in which an original mythology, rather than material or heritage alone, generates the object.
- The principal category term used by The House of Shaneela in its communications with press, collectors and the wider luxury world.
“The House does not describe itself as haute-luxury. It operates within Mythic Haute-Luxury, a category of its own making.”
MYTHICAL HAUTE-LUXURY
/ˈmɪθ.ɪ.kəl əʊt ˈlʌk.ʃə.ri/ · noun
Origin: Coined by The House of Shaneela, as a companion term to Mythic Haute-Luxury.
The same category, spoken with emphasis on origin: luxury that arises from, and belongs to, a mythological Realm, rather than luxury merely styled to resemble one.
HAUTE REALM-MAKING
/əʊt ˈrelm ˌmeɪ.kɪŋ/ · noun
Origin: The House's own term for its creative discipline.
The disciplined creation and sustaining of an original mythological Realm, held to the standards and codes of high luxury, from which artefacts, rituals and access are generated.
“Every fragrance of the House begins in Haute Realm-Making, long before it becomes a bottle.”
REALM-BORN LUXURY
/relm bɔːn ˈlʌk.ʃə.ri/ · noun
Origin: Coined by The House of Shaneela to describe what its discipline produces.
An object, ritual or experience whose origin and internal logic arise entirely from a Realm, rather than being applied to a finished product afterward.
MYTHOPOEIC LUXURY
/ˌmɪθ.əʊˈpiː.ɪk ˈlʌk.ʃə.ri/ · adjective
Origin: From mythopoeia, the making of myth, adopted by the House as its academic and critical register.
Describing luxury shaped by deliberate myth-making and its materialisation into the physical world. Reserved for academic, literary and curatorial contexts.
The Declaration
MYTH MADE MATERIAL.
· phrase
The shortest possible statement of the House's discipline: that mythology, pursued seriously enough, becomes physically real.
The audience enters the Realm, and something from the Realm enters theirs.
