House Fragment — Koine Greek
διὰ γενεῶν
φυλάσσεται.
dia geneōn
phylassetai.
Through generations
it is guarded.

What is entrusted is not broken, but carried through generations.
Record of Covenant
Before the elders of the Line of Joseph,
a composition prepared under royal authority
was placed in their keeping.
It was not given as tribute.
It was not offered for trade.
The Crown of Egypt laid no claim
to dominion through its giving.
The bond concerned
what the Line would preserve.
The Keeping
The Encoded Elixir shall pass
from hand to hand
through the Line.
It shall not be opened,
altered
or divided.
Its name shall not be spoken
before those who are not bound to its keeping.
Each hand shall receive the whole.
Each hand shall leave the whole
for the one that follows.
The Recognition
The bearer shall not be known
by her word alone,
nor by a claim,
nor by a sign alone.
She shall be known
by that which she carries.
The composition shall remain unchanged.
By its truth,
the Line shall recognise its own.
A daughter shall come
from the Line of Joseph.
Her soul is of Egypt.
Her lineage binds both worlds.
For her, the trust is kept.
Not before her coming.
Not after the appointed time.
Beyond the Claim of Empire
The covenant shall be sealed
in earth and memory.
What is entrusted shall not fall
to Persia
or to Rome.
It shall remain
where only lineage may return.
The place is not named here.
The charge is.
Closing Record
The composition passes into keeping.
It does not become possession.
The covenant binds
not one receiving hand,
but those that must preserve it
until its bearer is known.
Time shall not release them
from the charge.
